I think the flext build system basically works fine - however, there
could be some rough edges that might be easier to circumvent with the
autoconf style scripts.

it's certainly a good idea to include xsample, py/pyext, pool, vasp,
absattr and clk.
dyn~ is very useful but suffers from a major flaw for signal inlets
and outlets that i might not be able to fix in the near future.
The externals should actually be built with shared libraries, with
flext headers and dynamic libraries included in the pd package. This
way, version conflicts could be avoided.

It's true that i don't regularly follow neither the Pd nor Max/MSP
lists, but i screen them once in a while for topics that need my
attention. I've embarked on a slow transition to supercollider but
still use Pd for installations and research.
